Welcome to my finance ramblings

Hi!

I’ve never really had an outlet to talk about credit cards, points, travel, and all the other things that somehow take up a concerning amount of my brain space. So… here we are.

Don’t worry, I think my default will be to leave the email notifications “Off” for most of the finance content I share. After all, do any of you care about it as much as I do?

Unfortunately for all of you (of which there are only a few right now), that means you’ll have to click one extra button to filter out my ramblings and stay focused on our food and travels.

My real “goal” is to share interesting finds and things I stumble upon from reading OTHER finance blogs that I actually think YOU should know about.

More importantly, I like to talk about my latest schemes - after all, we have a honeymoon coming up and over half of our hotel nights are free. (Actually, a hotel in Málaga is basically paying us to stay there.)

Colin’s Dad calls it “gaming” - well, the whole industry does… American Express has even added terms and conditions specifically referencing that word.

I don’t really have a true plan for what this section of our blog will look like. You bet I’ll put our various credit card referral links in any post applicable - after all, if I’m going to play the game, I may as well play it well.

If you’re one of the people who has ever said, “Hey Chris, you should do a PowerPoint on credit cards”… this is basically that.
